Job Description: 

Position Summary

This position is responsible for journal entries, maintaining and analyzing costs and reconciliations for assigned business areas of the company. Works closely with Operations and other Finance personnel. This role performs balance sheet analyses and reporting for the assigned business area(s).

Essential Functions (ES) and Responsibilities

  • Posts monthly journal entries required for the business area.
  • Analyzes variances in costs; prepares analysis of key expense items to identify any trends or unusual fluctuations in results and to investigate, discuss and resolve such items to management. Analyzes significant spending variances for selected areas of the Company.
  • Interfaces with operational departments on a regular basis; provide summary of financial impact of activities on a monthly (or as needed) basis. Performs balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. Checks overall reasonableness and reviews/corrects any variances.
  • Works with Operation Departments to develop the annual budgets/monthly forecasts for assigned cost centers and updates/maintains the information in BPC as needed.
  • Maintains all fixed assets within the SAP Fixed Asset module.
  • Prepares and provides requested schedules to external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
  • Knowledgeable of accounting policies and procedures, ensures operational departments understand and follow the policies and procedures.
  • Assist in documenting policies, procedures, and controls for Sarbanes-Oxley implementation.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Experience Requirements: Requires 5+ years of professional related work experience. Requires proficiency in finance and office applications (SAP or other Tier I ERP applications, Excel, Word). Must be financial/detail oriented, possess excellent analytical abilities and be customer oriented.

Compliance Requirements (ES)

The minimum compliance expectation for this role entails strict adherence to FDA regulations and company policies governing sales and marketing activities. This includes completion of required compliance training, accurate documentation of sales interactions, and adherence to data privacy regulations. Additionally, the role requires proactive participation in compliance reviews, prompt reporting of any potential issues, and ongoing education to stay updated on relevant FDA regulations.
