Position Summary
This role maintains overall responsibility for cost accounting function; responsible for financial reporting for the manufacturing, quality and plasma divisions and the development of product standard costs calculations and manufacturing capacity assumptions.
Essential Functions (ES) and Responsibilities
- Ensures that cost accounting processes and programs and internal reports are developed, implemented and effectively administered, supervises Cost Accounting staff.
- Ensures that cost accounting processes, programs and reports are consistent with corporate objectives.
- Works with senior management team to ensure that the overall cost accounting function is effectively supporting the company's strategic goals and company-wide informational and reporting requirements.
- Seeks approval of cost accounting program, process and reporting improvements/additions with management.
- Supervises / assesses proper costing and valuation of inventory, monthly inventory reporting and review of reserve requirements as part of the month-end close.
- Coordinates cost accounting activities to ensure consistent valuation methods.
- Leads the manufacturing budget process and coordinates with manufacturing personnel to arrive at annual standard costs for all products.

Education Requirements: Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent. Masters degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
Experience Requirements: Requires 5-8 years of progressive experience as a financial analyst, accounting manager or equivalent. Must have the ability to compose reports, follow technical manuals, and communicate effectively and persuasively in business discussions. Must have a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Must understand concepts, requirements, process development and accounting issues for all business areas.

This includes completion of required compliance training, accurate documentation of sales interactions, and adherence to data privacy regulations.
